Meetup Location: 10 W 14th Ave Pkwy. Tour starts at East (Broadway) entrance at 3:30pm. Those who wish to walk to the library together may join Chris Sala at 3 p.m. at our Registration and Information Desk, South Convention Lobby. We’ll leave shortly thereafter.

6:00- 8:00pm Cocktails at the Terminal Bar, Union Station
Meetup Location: 1701 Wynkoop Street The Terminal Bar located inside The Great Hall (Note: we will not be meeting inside the Bar but in the Great Hall). Jeffrey Ross (“Jeff”) will be leaving our Information and Registration Desk, South Convention Lobby at 6 p.m. to lead all of you who want to travel together by the FreeMallRide to Union Station.

Meetup Location: Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel Plaza Building Lobby Level by the registration desk
The city of Denver is known for its wealth of public art projects, a strong concentration of which are located in the downtown area. From the iconic blue bear peering into the Convention Center window to realist early 20th-century monuments, this tour will explore the urban context of downtown artworks and address the question of how visual arts projects contribute to the shaping of urban space. (Inclement weather will emphasize interior spaces.)

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Tour | Downtown/LoDo Urban Design + Architecture
Meetup Location: Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel Plaza Building Lobby Level by the registration desk
The Lower Downtown (LoDo) neighborhood of Denver has undergone tremendous change in the past decades. This tour will take us through the 16th Street corridor to LoDo, walking us through the neighborhood’s history and the recent changes to this historic area. The tour will be led by Ken Schroeppel, University of Colorado Denver assistant professor in the Urban Planning department. (Inclement weather will emphasize interior spaces.)

9:30am-12:00pm Tour | RiNo – River North Art District Tour
Meetup Location: Group departure from Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel Plaza Building Lobby Level by the registration desk at 9:30am; public transit to tour origin point. Tour will begin at 10am from 3240 Larimer St., with tour guide Laura Phelps Rogers.
Join us for a tour of the River North (RiNo) district, a longtime artist enclave recently subject to significant revitalization. This tour will focus on murals, architecture, and urban redevelopment in the RiNo district, a short walk from the conference hotel. Brunch options abound after the tour.
